Viola L. Sickles School serves PreK–3 at 25 Willow Street. Knollwood School serves grades 4–8 at 224 Hance Road. Fair Haven students attend Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School in Rumson for grades 9–12.
River Road is Fair Haven’s central business corridor, connecting the borough with Red Bank to the west and Rumson to the east. It concentrates many of the town’s independent shops, restaurants, services and professional offices.
Fair Haven fronts the Navesink River. The municipal dock at the end of Fair Haven Road is a local spot for fishing, crabbing, birding and river views.
The recreation complex includes athletic facilities, while the adjoining natural area preserves wooded trails and a pond. The borough describes the natural area as about 40 acres with roughly 1.65 miles of trails.

645 River Road. The all-volunteer company is a major community institution and organizes the annual Fair Haven Firemen’s Fair.
The volunteer fire company’s late-summer fair brings rides, games, food and community volunteers to the firehouse grounds and serves as the company’s primary annual fundraiser.
